Jaydn Ott gets Cal fans in the first half, not gonna lie, then announces he's coming back
Call an ambulance. But not for Bear Territory. (Maybe a few Cal fans though)
After rampant speculation, California Golden Bears running back Jaydn Ott made his decision about his 2024 future on the eve of the Independence Bowl in the calmest way possible.
He entered the transfer portal.
For five seconds.
Then Ott announced his return to the California Golden Bears.
Turns out Cal football’s greatest athlete in a decade is the world’s biggest troll too.
Funny stuff!
(Where’s my heart medicine.)
Ott will return for his third season as a Golden Bear after leading the Bears in rushing in his first two season in Berkeley. He dragged Cal back to a bowl game with three straight 180+ all purpose yard performances, including a kickoff return touchdown against UCLA, a heroic 36 carry performance in the Big Game. In all of Cal’s five non-conference wins this year, Ott put up 170 yards or more.
Ott has rushed for 2157 yards in a Cal uniform, and with his return to the Bears he has a chance to be the all-time leading rusher in Golden Bear history, with Russell White sitting at 3367.
We could not be more thrilled to have him back. Those of us who are still alive.
Go Bears.
That was hilarious. The funny thing was even though I knew it was fake my heart still skipped a beat.
The heartbreak emoji was the cherry on top
