Don't get my hopes up! Maybe you have some inside scoop. As I transition to being an Old Blue I lean more and more on how our lines define our success. QB play is obvious, but we've had pretty steady play at other positions and the defining characteristic of better or worse Cal teams has been can we protect the QB, run the ball, and stop the run and pressure the passer. Some of that is scheme. Much of that is the horses.
i was going to comment the same thing too. He would have been a great safety at Bama, but I'm glad he came to Cal. When he arrived, there were talks about him playing both ways but it didn't happen.
This is where UNLV offensive coordinator Brennan Marion's patented GoGo offense would come in handy. If we can't have Marion, we should at least borrow some of his concepts.
I hope someone told him #1 was already taken....... : )
Use the experiences of Jared Goff and Aaron Rodgers at Cal to lure another great quarterback from the transfer portal.
Have to believe 1+ RBs move to slot WR, right?
Cardwell and Williams-Thomas are both 4 star 90+ guys, plus Jet and Stredick.
And now….let’s get some HOGS
Exactly
Why? They have so many blue chip RBs it's crazy. Maybe they know one or more of them will leave.
And they can all get injured fast! See last season.
Like who? After Ott and some potential but no one proven.
JWT and Jet showed a lot of promise. Stredick is fast, but seems to make more mistakes. We haven't seen Cardwell really play yet, though.
Don't forget the Jet, JAIVIAN THOMAS
Nice get. I'll try to come up with a Cab Calloway reference before the season.
Hi-De-Hi-De-Hi-De-Ho
It's up to our OL as much as ever to open gaps for these guys. Looks like a great addition to an already strong group.
Yes. More O & D linemen are a beg need.
Run the Wing T!
Awesome! But all I really care about is the lines. No big moves there, no likely changes in our outcomes.
Stay tuned re: the lines.

Interesting that he was at Alabama for a short time.

Article says he withdrew from Alabama because he realized he wasn’t ready for big time football.
Bama recruited him as a safety. Clearly, he wants to be a RB.
That reminds me, they also recruited Keenan Allen as a safety

Hopefully he is now ready for ACC after 3 years.
With all of these great running backs.... can't we do something more effective than the RPO? Seems like 75% of our runs were into a wall of defenders.

With a new O coordinator maybe we'll see some more variety in the run game.
Great get! Last year Ifanse proved to be such an important pickup from FCS.
I'm surprised that Cardwell didn't transfer. You never know until fall, but I was afraid that he would be gone before he even played a snap for Cal.
Back to back season ending injuries. He might never play a snap for us.
True. Even if he did he might not be the same.
Good news, now let's hear more about our offensive line.
Always great to have plenty of strong running backs. Welcome, indeed, Kadarius!
