Hmmmm.....I did not know that Clay Helton was drunk. But even a drunk might be able to see that spotting 41 points to Stanford in the conference championship game is hard to swallow with a defense full of 4 and 5-star talent. But as Bum Phillips once famously said, "There's two kinds of coaches, them's that's fired and them's that is about to be fired." A bit ironic that Helton fired Wilcox but retained Peter Sirmon on his staff. (BTW, that Phillips dictum does not apply to Cal. Wilcox won't be fired anytime soon.)

Sling a good investment if you want to watch Cal this year. They are going to be on that network a ton this season. Just like last year. That's what you get when you have a decent defensive coordinator who was Peter Principled into a mediocre head coach and then head scratchingly (at least I thought so) given a four-year contract extension after putting up a 15-25 record in conference for five years of work.

The Wazzu game might get to a network because Wazzu, is well, good, but it's right back to the Pac 12 Network again for the Colorado game. Love me some Sling for $40 or so a month with prompt cancellation after the Big Game.
