Thanks for the piece. So if we can't lure one of these guys (especially a grad transfer) then we will have to hope that Celestine and Bowser are almost immediate contributors. It's probably not worth the effort to scrape the bottom of the barrel for whatever high school players are left uncommitted at this point. And the lack of a point guard who can shoot/make free throws is glaring as we don't have Austin anymore.
Yes, agreed golden. If Brown is going to hit at a 50% clip from the stripe, can he really be on the court down the stretch of a game we're trying to salt away? That said, maybe it's just the cynical Cal fan in me, but I am not really counting on impact production from the new recruits, although maybe Celestine can hit some 3's. And investing scholarships in more projects doesn't seem to help much. Definitely unsettled times in the program.
