Men's Basketball: Cal adds F Milos Ilic via Transfer Portal
The grad transfer brings scoring and rebounding to the Bears' front line
After adding G Dai Dai Ames earlier today, Cal has secured the services of Milos Ilic. The 6’ 10” forward played his first three years with Loyola-Maryland, with steadily increasing playing time and responsibilities during those years. for the 2024-25 season, Ilic averaged 14.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3 assists while being named to the All-Patriot League Second Team.
Ilic displays a well-rounded offensive repertoire. He shoots 52% from the field, including a respectable 32% in limited attempts from 3-point range. With the addition of Ames and Nolan Dorsey last week, Coach Madsen appears to be targeting high-percentage shooters early in the transfer window.
Welcome to Berkeley, Milos!
Solid add as well.
I really mean no disrespect to these guys and anyone who wears the Cal jersey deserves our support, but again, Madsen talks about national championships and I don't see the sort of players capable of competing at the highest levels of the ACC or nationally in these players. We've been middling, and it seems we will remain middling. I've been hoping for more of a splash, and perhaps that is coming. Go Bears!
