I am also surprised Carson Strong hasn’t been drafted. I know this was a weak QB draft class but I thought Strong would be drafted between the 5th-7th rounds.
Strong. I recall pre-season for Nevada, he was talked about as potentially a top QB draft pick…but now his knee issues aren’t even a secret. The X-rays are rough and very concerning - tough because he’s got an NFL arm & some of his receivers got drafted.
Maybe Polk’s not fast enough - his 40 time was >4.6 IIRC…also there’s just too many WRs…Justyn Ross is still available too, which is a surprise.
Cal has had success at safeties but not corners in the NFL the past 10 years. DeCoud, Conte, Hawkins, Davis, Bynum. On the other hand, none of the CBs that were drafted had success. Syd'quan, Williams, Anthony. The only safety that didn't do well was DJ Campbell. My point is that I hope Hicks signs somewhere and that we need really athletic and physical guys at corner.
These guys aren’t good enough to make the practice squad so they will more than likely be regulated to the taxi squad. It is sad that they couldn’t even make it on the Uber or Lyft squads but the labor market is really tight right now so they may get called up.

Packers selected 3 WRs. Hopefully they are good. Goff also got a 1st round WR from Alabama
I was listening to a Middlekauf & Haberman podcast from earlier this week…apparently his knee is an absolute mess. Just wrecked.

Seems like a boring draft this year.
I think Goode will be drafted in the 6th.
Hicks was just drafted in the 7th by the Chicago Bears.
