Another day at the NFL Draft, another Taker in the League.
After Nohl Williams got picked on Friday night in the 3rd round to the Kansas City Chiefs, it was Craig Woodsons’s turn on Saturday morning. With the 106th pick in the fourth round, the New England Patriots took Woodson.
Woodson graded out as one of the best safeties in the college game last year. Woodson was third on the team in tackles and broke up nine passes. PFF ranked him as an elite defender against both run and the pass, and he performed extremely well in the pre-draft circuit.
This now brings Cal to eight defensive backs taken in the last six years. Woodson is the 26th Cal defensive back to be selected in the NFL Draft.
The culture of the Takers remains as strong as ever. Congrats Craig and see you on Sundays!
Nice!! Go be great CW!
This guy staying at Cal for the duration makes him a star in my book. Will root for him always.
And Teddye Buchanan just got picked up by my Ravens.
