Cal CB Nohl Williams continues Takers legacy, drafted by Kansas City Chiefs
The Cal defensive back was selected by the three time defending AFC Champions.
Nohl Williams couldn’t have asked for a better start to his NFL career. Williams was picked 85th overall in the 3rd round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
The California Golden Bears cornerback had the most interceptions in college football last season, making plays all over the field. He graded as one of the best man-zone corners in the NFL Draft Combine, and should plug in seamlessly to one of the best secondaries in the league. This makes it SEVEN Golden Bear defensive backs drafted in the last five NFL Drafts.
2020: Ashtyn Davis, 68th pick in 3rd round by the Jets (now with the Miami Dolphins)
2020: Jaylinn Hawkins, 134th pick in 4th round by the Falcons (now with Patriots)
2021: Cam Bynum, 125th pick in 4th round for the Vikings (now starting in Indianapolis)
2022: Elijah Hicks, 254th pick in the 7th round for the Bears (on the two-deep in Chicago)
2023: Daniel Scott, 158th pick in the 5th round for the Colts (currently on the 53-man roster in Indianapolis)
2024: Patrick McMorris, 198th pick in 6th round for the Dolphins
The legacy of the Takers lives on.
