Conte's FB profile says he works at Corona Del Mar HS since Nov 2020. Maybe started coaching? McClure and Giordano have started coaching careers too. Cattouse and Campbell are high school teachers. Steve Williams is still playing.
I think there's no way Heyward doesn't get involved in DBs. Dude's a proven master; why not utilize those talents AND use his position as a recruiting tool? Heck, I don't care which title he keeps (OLBs, etc.) as long as he provides the greatest benefit to our Bears!
Agreed. He coached up some pretty good safeties while at Oregun. This gives Wilcox multiple options and it will be fun to see how he fills the role and adjusts the staff's responsibilities. I don't think Yates heading out is a huge loss. But it will all hinge on the new higher.
My impression is that Yates was not as good a coach as Alexander, being that AZ's defense was not up to the par of the Takers, and Alexander did not have much to work with (Dykes recruits). But this might not be completely accurate, anyway I hope Wilcox' can attract a top-caliber coach to fill Yates' shoes.

So Oregon hires TDR to be their DC. Cal hires Heyward to fill in for TDR. Oregon hires Yates to fill in for Heyward. Now who do we take from Oregon?
We will probably have Heyward coach DB and hire someone to coach LB.

To be fair, no one is as good as Alexander. Look at what he's done at Cal and Dolphins in such a short time.
