Your analysis is one of the better articles that I have read, over the past few days, of the upcoming football bowl season for the former Pac-12 teams. Thank you!

More than attend, I’d like them to play!

Cheez it Bowl if it still exists

Terence's avatar

Cheez It now sponsors the Citrus Bowl (Jan 1 in Orlando) and it’s a Big Ten vs SEC game

The game in which we played TCU in Phoenix at Chase Field is now the Rate Bowl played on Dec 26 and it’s Big 12 vs Big 10

That game has had a lot of names, and Cal has played in it three times, under three different names:

Copper Bowl in 1990

Insight Bowl in 2003

Cheez-It Bowl in 2018

That 2003 Insight Bowl was epic. So much fun.

Selfishly rooting for LA...a reasonable drive away, if any drive in Socal is reasonable. Go Bears Forever!

No tailgating at Sofi but wondering if Cal Alumni Assoc will have plans to put something on nearby🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

But USC, Washington and Cal cannot jump the Cougars for berths in the Holiday or Las Vegas Bowls. (The Hotline confirmed this state-of-affairs with the Pac-12.)

Once ASU and Colorado have their destinations set, Washington State will be assigned to the top remaining bowl in the selection order because of its two-game advantage in the win column over the remaining eligible teams.

Got a flight last week to LAX the am of 12/18 and booked a room at La Quinta Inn on W. Century Blvd for the night.

Assuming it is LA, I will see you there, sir.

Great that SoCal alums will get to see the Bears this year, Go. Bears. Forever. It appears to me that JW lost the team on the ride home from the WF game. The Bears came out flat as pancakes against SCuse, Furd, and the Death Penalty Express. We should enjoy the LA Bowl, as I predict a massive churn for Cal in the portal, and not for the positive...

I'm an Angeleno, and I got access to an LA Bowl ticket deal recently, so I jumped on it expecting Cal to play.

I wanted LA Bowl but that Wednesday night I already got plans. I will be on a road trip from 12/22 to 12/29, so I cannot attend or watch any games during that span. I don't feel like cancelling any of them for a Cal game so I will have to watch the highlights.

I have two grandkids in San Diego, so it’s a no-brainer for me. 😆

To repeat…holiday bowl is 100% not possible

Lapachet’75's avatar

Hey, I’m a Cal fan! I can dream, can’t I? 😆

I’m not super jazzed about playing in a Bowl Game 45 minutes from my residence, but I guess it’s better than Shreveport

I liked the Vegas Bowl when it was in the Silver Bowl out in the desert, my third favorite stadium after California Memorial and the Rose Bowl. Now it's in Allegiant which is way less fun. I voted against the LA bowl because I can't go on Wed the 18th.

I'd personally like the LA Bowl, but the schedule is not ideal.

I think WSU gets passed up to independence bowl

They’ve lost their QB and both coordinators, right - but the remaining team should be rewarded, right?
