I had no number below 50%. I had only one number above 75%. There you go. We haven't seen this team play. Haven't seen these coaches coach. Haven't seen who suits up, and who won't. Can't predict COVID during the season. Too many variables above and beyond the normal amount of too many variables. Go Bears! All things being equal, I like our talent, experience, and coaching.
I do. I judge recent games as having been competitive enough, factoring for variables, to think a veteran team on our end and the loss of people on their end gives us a pretty fair chance.
Our experience definitely helps us, but the critical factor in any team's success in this abbreviated season will be how prepared they are and how well they play early in the season. With no Spring ball and a limited Fall camp and a new OC, our playlist will be smaller than what we would like. And watching the SEC and ACC early play appeared sloppy. I have confidence in our coaches to get our kids prepared. I am saying 8 wins and a trip to the playoffs. ;-)
The 7th game includes the Pac-12 Chip game, that's why only a 6-game schedule has been released.
Personally, I think it'd be cool to have our own mini playoff for the conference title, therefore extending the conference season a little for the shortened season...But frankly I'm just thankful we're getting *any* games!
I'm pretty sure this is pre-Memorial renovation (look at the low walls, endzones, and what appear to be wooden benches still in place. Could have been the natural grass era of 1995-03 or for reasons that SGBear outlines.
Synth turf doesn't need to be watered, but tends to be done in summer to clean it, tamp the crumb "soil" back down, and -- most importantly -- cool it before practice. This giant cement thermal mass absorbing heat all day, coated by a plastic layer, and with a high bowl rim to limit cross-ventilation can get uncomfortably hot.
There is no game on our schedule that we should lose. Then, again, I am aware of the fact that I've succumbed to that painful emotion of "hope" since 1956.
"Memorial Stadium is going to look a little different this season…"
I think it's already looking different from that picture of Memorial Stadium since 2012
In honor of the 100th anniversary of the first of Andy Smith's Wonder teams, I think it only right and fitting that we go undefeated.
6-1. We’ll lose to Arizona State, and Beat Oregon. And beat Arizona State in the Pac 12 Championship.

You have us at 50-50 (or higher) against Oregon?

So is the eighth win just the first round of the playoffs leading up to a perfect 9-0 season, or do we drop one at some point for 8-1? :)
10-0 baby...unless we meet Clemson, The Ohio State or Bama in round one of the playoffs.
Bama can very much miss the playoffs now with Saban out for the game against Georgia.
But we only have 7 conference games! lol. Either way I like the enthusiasm!
7 conference, 1 PAC12 Championship game, 1 playoff game, 1 National Championship game = 10 games!

Joke's on you, I'm still predicting 7 wins!
Why does field turf need to be watered?

interesting, thanks

I picked us as favorite in every game save Oregon, but I still think we have a good chance in that game.
