I finally got a chance to watch this game last night. Even knowing the outcome, it was a really fun game to watch, and to see firsthand some of the plays y'all have been talking about...that Reese ambush on Moore was epic! Also, the pass that Mendoza tossed over the defense that Hunter ran down in the endzone was perfection...the ball—thrown to a spot—had a little hump on it that was a really nice touch. Excellent.
Welcome to the club. I thought I was being nice with an 80% on a night that we were outgained significantly and juuuust managed to push aside the blows over and over again until UCLA gave up.
At home, I watched, quietly; kept quiet as my disbelief grew; began ritual whiskey shots during 3rd quarter; anticipated collapse early in 4th quarter; slowly went into shock following The 8 Minute Drive; held breath until final whistle; collapsed into crying and anger. Yes, anger for all the years, too many, of taking BS from our “sister” school and the generally hollow, Day-Of-the-Locust greater Hollywood culture. The game probably meant too much to me, but, God, what a righteous outcome!
...be still my racing a heart...second time this year as a voice of reason after never making it before. I think I will now retire from rating the games to allow room for others....GO BEARS!
I was so excited the last 2 games i couldn't help myself. i've never in the many years putting in my ratings went for the 100 ratings... so excited for a bowl game!

You are right! Competition is good. Let’s hope Mendoza wins.

The Bears did it. The entire game was superb! I don’t care what bowl game there in. They are in a BOWL GAME!
Yes, we need a backup. But Mendoza is #1.
So far.
