Senior RB Leaves a Crowded-ish RB Room as a Graduate Transfer
Christopher Brooks lead the team in scrimmage yards with 738 yards on 135 touches. This was the first season he was able to play late into the season with a high carry load. Something not seen on the stat sheet is his very high level of pass protection that will help him find a great graduate landing spot and a future in the NFL.
His best season was 2019 where he cracked 1000 scrimmage yards and flashed great potential that was affected by injuries.

Oof, this one hurts. Guess we have to expect a higher-than-normal level of transfers with all the extra eligibility and crowded position groups piling up.
This one hurts though because he was my favorite RB. Wish him the best of luck (at a school not playing Cal next year).
This sucks! I thought it was odd that Brooks wasn't #1 from the start of the year. I thought he was clearly the better overall back & he appeared to be healthy all year. One time Cal commit, Adrian Martinez, has entered the transfer portal and is considering between Kansas St. & Cal.
