Former Cal running back DeCarlos Brooks announced this evening his intentions to enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.

Brooks became the RB2 this season after Chris Street went down with an injury, and did well in a rotation with Jaydn Ott. Brooks had his best game when the Bears visited South Bend, racking up 5 carries for 43 yards, but ran hard and ran effectively while also maintaining a role in max protect pass blocking. He recorded his only touchdown of the season the following weekend vs Arizona.

His final season stats are this: 59 carries, 250 yards, 1 touchdown along with 8 receptions for 18 yards.

Brooks, DeCarlos

Best of luck to DeCarlos wherever he ends up! He got his Cal degree and represented the Blue and Gold well throughout his tenure.

I'm loving this OC speculation that y'all are having. Time to speculate on OL coach hires because that matters just as much!

Bummer, but it also very likely means Ott ain’t moving.
