If Colorado didn’t get coach Prime , then I don’t think they would have gotten this invite to the Big 12.

Is that fair to say? Does that seem accurate? Does/did coach Prime really change the value of Colorado THAT much?

And Colorado hasn’t played a single game under Coach Prime. The speculation level just seems really high here.

Big 12 doesn't care. They don't have any large brands left. CU and BYU are their largest remaining schools.

Might have drove up the price, but they were targeted cause they were vulnerable and an obvious regional fit.

I’m sure it played a part but I think the Big12 just saw an opportunity to get a decent school/market, a school that was part of the Big8/Big12 and more importantly destabilize their closest competitor, the Pac10 and likely pushing it the brink of extinction.

The Big12 commissioner is playing chess while Commissioner Buchanan plays checkers.

Or maybe in terms my kids would understand: Big12 commissioner is playing Call of Duty and Commissioner Buchanan is playing Animal Crossing?
