Any word on if there will be non-playoff bowls? If Red Box could be played in January we could be in a post-new years bowl!!!!!

Does anyone know what kind of shape the team is in right now? I am certain they have been keeping their fitness levels up and player-run practices; but I asking more holistically as a team. Especially, the offense with a new playbook. Curious what's been taking place.

I know, I thought about that. Hope he's enjoying it out there. I'm sure he's missed right now in practice.

I hope all the athletes and coaches stay healthy first and foremost.

That said, do they lose a year of eligibility on this abbreviated schedule?

I am curious to see what Curhan decides to do. IIRC he opted out of the season some time back for multiple reasons. Can all of his concerns be addressed by the start of practices?

No, this season is a "free" season. It won't count against anyone's eligibility

Colorado restrictions haven’t eased. Wonder if they’ll have to be left behind...

How are they fitting 7 regular games + the conference championship into a 42 day period? You'd have to schedule each "week" of the season exactly 6 days apart. Are we getting football on a Tuesday?

Okay, they clarified that the conference championship is included in the 7 games (but that those not in the championship will still play that weekend).

Too bad. I was looking forward to watching Cal lose to SC at 9 AM on a Wednesday

Jen, either way, I'm sure Larry will somehow find a way for Cal to play at 9am on a Wednesday!

A seven-game season? Damn it! This means for that for the third year in a row we're going to win seven games (in the regular season).

7 games, I wonder if that means the (5) North teams plus UCLA and USC.

Yes: 5 North games and 1 South game. Then, the conference championship if we have the best record in the North (the crossover game counts) OR a random 7th game

Would that just be the ye olde Pac-8?

I'm pretty sure Bynum will be happy to return as long as he hasn't hired an agent yet.

Let's hope so.
