Did anyone watch the Virtual Fan Fest on Facebook/CalAthletics/ yesterday at noon? It was pretty interesting to watch the coaches talk (particularly Toler and McClure, the new O-line coach). The video is one hour long and is now archived on youtube.

I could have sworn the Dennis Dixon teams were better - just because my Oregon friends seem to swear he was their best QB of the century (with some for Mariota) and nope - his teams were above average but not great. I guess he got hurt every year.

Of course we lost at Arizona. Of course. We're 1-5 in Tuscon this century (only win was in 2004), and I'm not looking forward to whatever otherworldly forces cause us to lose in miserable fashion in 2022.

While this was an interesting simulation, I'm morbidly curious what would happen in a season featuring the worst Pac-12 teams of century. 2013 Cal vs. 2008 Washington would be a pillow fight for the ages.

I thought about that idea (and you can see a draft in the editor of me looking at candidate teams), but I decided not to because it's a bit too negative on those players.

How about a tournament featuring everyone but Cal? @It's not like we care about the other players' feelings@

Our current tournament featuring the non-Cal Pac-11 is rolling in tens upon tens of views and ones upon ones of comments, so maybe I will.

The 2009 Big Game was shown on Pac-12 network last night. Mikey Mo's interception of redshirt freshman Andrew Luck sealed it. Last victory in the BG until 2019. Sort of the end of the good/decent part of the Tedford era and downhill from there for the most part.

one of the nice things about that pick is that it was just a couple of plays after Mo was absolutely run over by furd RB (Gerhardt?). It must have been really sweet for him after that.
