Pacing nervously, sleeping on the floor, subsisting on Top Dogs, Classic Lay's and flat Coke for weeks on end, waylaying oblivious nurses in the halls (random Twitter accounts) and begging for any trace of good news.
We look on dolefully as other joyous families celebrate the discharge of their loved ones (Oregon, Arizona, etc...)
But still, no word. The doctors race by, attending to more important matters.
And so we return to our cold plastic seats and wait.
