It seems like the Mountain West conference is closing the talent and/or coaching gap vs. the Pac-12. SJSU plays SC tough for most of the game, Fresno takes it to Oregon and without a fumble by Haener resulting in an Oregon score may have pulled that game out.
I don't know how Sam Noyer didn't win the starting job over Tristian Gebbia that dude is straight dogwater. Also a report on my wisdom teeth recovery I feel pretty good (better than last time) and am taking my antibiotics better. One thing I didn't like was IV and full Anesthesia sedation instead of local (although that was probably tucked away in the consent forms) because they never asked.
I don’t know if anybody here watch the Stanford game this morning, but their quarterback sucks. They’re in trouble. And I just watched the Oregon versus Fresno State game, and Fresno state came back from being down 14 to 0 tied it up and took it to the end until Oregon won buy a touchdown. And Fresno state did not look that good. And Thibodeau is out with a sprained ankle. Oregon Can be beat.
If we can get by Washington and beat Oregon we can win the North. I watched the Stanford game and Shaw looked bored and disinterested. They don't have the personnel anymore to run the Harbaugh/early-Shaw grind-it-out offense.
My amigo and I have season tickets but don't go to all games. Typically we give them to family or friends, but I am looking for alternatives. I don't want my 83 year old dad going to games right now due to Covid. I don't really want or need to sell them. I have contacted Fam 1st about giving them tickets. I am also open to the idea of giving them to someone in exchange for a charitable donation. Basically we would give the tickets to someone and take their word that they will donate. Again I am thinking Fam 1st. Perhaps we could make this a funnel for others to do the same and see how much we can raise. I am fully open to other ideas and suggestions.
We have two tickets for tonight: section H row 20. Nearest tickets are $45 on stubhub atm. Donate $90 and get the tickets. This is a great deal. Including the minimum required donation, these seats are roughly $1650 each for the year. We also have a parking pass, but it is not in digital format. It is available for pickup relatively nearby.
It's 7 AM in California right now. I will check back here in a few hours.
You can't watch Fox Sports channels without cable subscription.
I was so happy when I read this so I tried it. I downloaded the Fox Sports app on my smart tv. I watched the South Dakota vs. Colorado State game for a little while and everything seemed to be working fine. Then the feed cut off and I got a screen telling me my "free preview" is over and I will have to log in at go.foxsports.com to continue. I scanned the QR code which took me to the Fox Sports site which requires a cable provider sign in.
Another major advantage to watching Pac12 on YouTube: NO COMMERCIALS, just peaceful silence. Pac12 Network football announcers are annoying enough without commercials at + 20 dB. The reprieve helps bigly.
So any Pac-12 network game can be watched live on Youtube? I can access Youtube on my HDTV by saying "youtube ----(insert search term) and then youtube shows up on the TV. Quality is pretty good most of the time. Also, note that the Sac State game is on Pac-12 Bay Area, so folks in other parts of the West will not be able to watch it...
Yes, I'll definitely be doing that next time we're on the P12 Network. If there's an equivalent trick for Fox Sports I'd love to know about it but I don't think there is. I'll try the Fox site with different VPN settings later today but I don't think its going to work.
"Fox Sports Live" is the app that can be downloaded to any smart tv (or Roku, Firestick, Chromecast device, whatever) and I think "another live TV streaming service" means Sling or Fubo.
I'm pretty sure there is no way to watch this game without a cable subscription or a paid streaming service. If there is some other Fox Sports vehicle that allows one to watch without having a cable subscription please point me to it.
Of course, there are the many pirate streaming sites full of malware popups but other than that there's no way to watch this game (or any game) on Fox Sports without a cable provider log in or a Sling/Fubo subscription.
Purdue ahead of OSU at the half...
Great crowd at the Rose Bowl today. I wonder if they are all from Louisiana…
You wonder why the pac 12 is down and it’s all about recruiting. Bama, Clemson and Ohio State starting QBs are all from
California. Pac 12 can’t lose QB talent like that and expect to stay relevant as a conference.

Watching the US C versus San Jose State game. US C’s office of line looks like shit. They’re beatable.
Cade Hall had a great game for SJSU, son of Rhett Hall, onetime Cal D-Lineman.
Everyone but Bama looks beatable in week 1. It’s all about improvement and development throughout the season.
Offensive line…dictation mode sucks!
I’m not reading anything into the Stanford and Oregon games. Sure they look winnable for us right now but we haven’t even seen our team play.
Chances are Oregon will have a new QB by the time they play us as Brown looks like a place holder.
Stanford was juggling QBs but it looks like they finally decided on one and that means he will improve throughout the season.
Is W4C not going to have a non Cal games thread? It would be nice to have one again to discuss non Cal games throughout the day and night.

I’m so excited! My panties are wet!
UCLA LSU will be a key barometer if Pac12/South is any good this year

There was nothing good about furd in that game. They looked slow and almost disinterested. Hahahaha!

Although right now they have the #14 recruiting class and seven 4* in the class.
watched both...you are correct sir! can't bring myself to watch $C...the soundtrack makes me barf...what a great day of college football!..Go Bears!
Like they say, if you have 2 QB's playing then you really have none...
Is there a game thread?
For now this seems to be it
I guess not. Anyway, Furd sucks and Oregon barely beat Fresno State. Good luck next week against Ohio State.
Even with a true frosh QB, the OSU is gonna crush the Ducks.
In classic form, Fox fails to include Cal vs. Nevada on the "Full Schedule" -- which even includes games from other networks: https://www.foxsports.com/live#full-schedule
CBS's notable games included SDSU vs. NMSU in the 7:30 timeslots over us, which just seems incredibly rude.

I recognize that you are discussing Fox Sports, but for Pac-12 Network
Going forward, if you are in the states, here's how you can get Pac-12 Live for free:
1 - get a VPN service
2 - choose a server in Canada
3 - go to Pac-12 Network Live channel on YouTube
Quality was quite good and considerably better then through Watch ESPN.
Thanks, that's great to hear. I will try that if necessary.

My understanding is that any game being aired live by the Pac-12 Network will be available, regardless of region or regional Pac-12 Networks.
*than*
grrr
