With all due respect to Berkelium97, if you can't be optimistic about the least well-known Cal team in recent history before they've played even one game, then it must be 50-50 if the sun rises tomorrow.

OSU has been relegated, their players are a tick down from the average guy playing in the power 4 conferences. Cal's NIL has stepped up, we have some beef & talent on the lines. We'll start conservatively and run the ball a lot. When they move up to stop the run, look out. We will make mistakes for sure, but this time the margin will be large enough so that they do not determine the outcome of the game. Cal 38-15.

My prediction is the Sooners and Hoosiers lose. Bears win.

At least Cal (and Wilcox and Berkelium97!) are well versed in rockfights!

JW is well versed in rock fights, yes. Winning rock fights, not so much... Still, GoBears!

Cal finds a way to run and pass again. Offensive line gets a push and opens holes. JKS hits his targets. Defense stays sturdy. Bears win 31 - 13

Don't really think this is going to be a close one. First half will be a rock right, and then one of the teams will pull away. We just have no idea which team that is, since we know absolutely nothing about our offense.

Completely uninformed opinion, but just a gut feeling……Cal’s remade offensive line under a great O line coach will give JKS all the time in the world to accurately pick OS apart with our new quick, smart slot receivers and a power running game that will keep the OS defensive secondary honest. Hell, why not guess!!! Go Bears!

With all the transfers which lead to a whole new offensive lineup and the playing at

Corvallis, who knows what we'll see Saturday night. OSU's new QB is scary and will be a problem.
