A few things: 1) Our problem against Syracuse may well have been that we were looking past them to this game. 2) I'm not looking forward to the huge influx of Wagner fans invading Memorial Stadium. Let's not let them take over like Ohio State did. 3) If we lose this one we're going to have to deal with those Wagner fans at work and in our neighborhoods. They're an obnoxious bunch of glory-hunters. Go Bears!!!

While you face stiff competition here on WFC, these Wurster Hall synopses are rapidly becoming my favorite feature of the week. That said, I await with bated breath Mr. Hellings offensive preview that is three times the length of their Wikipedia entry… curious to see how future previews will benchmark. Thanks!!!
I went way overboard with Wagner. I watched their entire 2025 season to write about their QB that they decided to replace in the second game of the season. I think I have learned my lesson.
Edit: after finishing my offense and defense articles, they now combine for just a mere 9,577 words.
I live about 150 miles from Wagner College and I, too, learned about its existence when Cal put their schedule out. I don't recall ever meeting a Wagner Seahawk, which I just learned is their mascot.
Cheerful, playful, yes. Interesting, absorbing, clever? Not so much.
I suggest approaching situations like this with a “know thy enemy” approach and do a Q&A about the school with a member of the student council or some such. It would be interesting to know some relevant facts and insider tips about the school in a respectful way. After all, they’re traveling a long way to play the University of California. Let others throw stones or mock the imbalance. We should honor the matchup.
Many of us remember someone who used to make many suggestions on what other people of W4C should write about. Someone other than myself might remember that person’s handle. I vaguely recall that he passed away?
