I live about 150 miles from Wagner College and I, too, learned about its existence when Cal put their schedule out. I don't recall ever meeting a Wagner Seahawk, which I just learned is their mascot.
Cheerful, playful, yes. Interesting, absorbing, clever? Not so much.
I suggest approaching situations like this with a “know thy enemy” approach and do a Q&A about the school with a member of the student council or some such. It would be interesting to know some relevant facts and insider tips about the school in a respectful way. After all, they’re traveling a long way to play the University of California. Let others throw stones or mock the imbalance. We should honor the matchup.
Excuse me, 157 players on the roster with 1,582 undergraduates?!?

We should honor the match-up but this game will be 180 degrees from the UCLA game. I was offered four complimentary tickets as a Season Ticket Holder.
