He was the leading rusher for Purdue in 2021 with 533 yards on the ground. He also added 158 yards through the air.

Who is gonna block for all these guys is my question…
Facing this new way of recruiting really favors Cal. After spending a couple of years in cold or otherwise unpleasant climates these dudes get to bask in the good (for the most part) Bay area weather and play big time football. It's interesting that our portal success is easily more impactful than our high school recruiting. Let the other guys train, feed, and house freshmen then have them leave for greener pastures, both literally and figuratively. Wilcox & Co. seem to have pivoted effectively and adjusted to the new reality, which is a worthy accomplishment.
