Cal Football: Golden Bears to Debut Gold Script Helmets at the 2022 Big Game
Yeah these are sick.
As the Under Armour contract likely winds down, the Bears get another lovely surprise--gold helmets for the Big Gams! Not just the Joe Roth golds that we see at UCLA and USC games, actual gold script gold!
I'm not see if it's the first time Cal has worn gold script helmets, but it's definitely the first iteration of these with Under Armour, and the first version in recent Cal memory.
Since it's the Big Game, there is some Axe to throw around the jerseys as well.
Also on the sleeve is some Sather stripe action.
Cal has worn their traditional look against Stanford at home for many years, with standard blue shirts and alternating between gold and blue pants. So it's nice to see a refreshing change.
Normalize gold Cal helmets! These things rock. Would love to see them with whomever Cal partners with next on apparel.
Cal fans, what do you think of this new uniform combination for the Big Game?
Nice Axeccents.
I agree these are sick. I love the helmet as a one-off alternate, but I really love the sleeve stripes and wouldn't mind those being official. Not a big fan of the "Sather Stripes" that UA tried to make a thing, not awful just boring.
Here's the thing to my fellow fans who might not like them. Uniforms get players and recruits excited, so I always look at these things from their perspective. What makes them happy makes me happy. (I just happen to also really like these).
