I had them too, unrealistic as they may have been.

I mean, the missed FTs and cold shooting night from 3 can happen. Letting a non-descript mid-major that’s picked to finish near the bottom of the WCC come into your house and shred the nets and outscore your bench 36-5 can’t…at least not if you’re going to shock the world and orchestrate the single greatest turnaround in NCAA MBB history.

I can't watch the games, but looking at the box the ten missed free throws does jump out at you.

Absolutely. They left points at the line. They were ice cold from behind the arc. You’re going to have those days.

The concern is the defense, as they’ve let a couple of beatable teams do basically whatever they wanted to in the first 2 games, at Haas. Now sure, Kennedy’s return by early Dec (?!?) will help, as will playing more games together…plus Madsen/staff have the right to make adjustments schematically that will hopefully lead to improved efficiency. But, this type of L is troublesome in that a number of players made NO impact or showed that they are not ready to contribute. Also, Fardaws SHOULD have absolutely dominated this UOP team, especially once Makai Richards drew 2 early fouls, and he didn’t, and there remains a huge drop off in the post when he goes to the bench because Okafor is still a work in progress.

They’re absolutely better though, and this season figures to look nothing like the previous 6, which is good.
