Cal fans raise $350K for athletes in 48 hours, $150K left for $500K match and $1 million goal!
Great job by our nation of Golden Bears! Let's hit our goal in the next 24 hours!
What’s a better way to celebrate a Cal win then helping to raise a million dollars for our Cal athletes?
Cal football coach Justin Wilcox and Cal men’s basketball coach Mark Madsen have emphasized the importance of NIL in rebuilding the rosters of their respective revenue sports. We saw yesterday a host of transfers that came to Berkeley via NIL that were major contributors in Cal’s 58-21 evisceration of North Texas, including NC State transfer/backup QB Ben Finley coming in with the huge relief winning performance.
Cal’s NIL leaders started a drive this weekend to raise $1 million this weekend. With the help of Ron and Stephanie Rivera as well as Cal alum/NIL leaders like Kevin Kennedy, Kennedy’s wife and Lance Cooper, who plan to match up to $500 thousand, we’re only $150,000 away!
Through 24 hours, Cal donors raised $250,000, meaning over a half-a-million heading the way of the Bears.
We’re $150,000 away from hitting our goal Cal fans!
Here are the steps to donate:
Make a general donation, or select the “Choose Your Sport” to make donations that will go to the specific sport of your choosing.
You can choose to make a one-time donation for the purpose of this cause, or a recurring one if you want to be a regular contributor to NIL efforts.
Any donation small or large will help, and in fact, encouraging your casual Cal friends to donate small will be super helpful.
If you want to start small, maybe a small $58 donation in honor of Cal’s offensive performance on Saturday?
Thanks for your support of Cal athletics during this critical time, and go Bears!
