Cal & Florida games cancelled, UCLA scheduled for 2026-2029 Home & Home & Home & Home
Little Brother sets up a meeting to give us our Calimony, with three season openers from 2026 through 2028.
Per Cal Athletics, we have graciously decided to give UCLA a chance to go up and visit their big brother and for us to go down and make sure their $10M Calimony check doesn’t bounce.
Upcoming matchups include three season openers from 2026 to 2028 on Labor Day weekend.

But on a more serious take: This is overall a good move by the admin to reduce the travel burden on both teams since trans-continental travel is in our books for the foreseeable future. This will also give us a regular game in Southern California and ensure we maintain our presence down there for the rest of the decade with our alumni and recruits.
On a similar and tougher note: Cal and Florida have both agreed to cancel their home and home arrangement scheduled for the 2026-27 season. This one stinks, but to keep the schedule relatively chill, it makes sense to flip Florida for UCLA.
I have mixed feelings about this. Partly, I want to say fUCLA and never play them again. That said, this is probably a smart move from the perspective of ticket sales (which will probably not be stellar for some ACC teams).
When my ex moved out and we divorced, I didn't make arrangements to keep hanging out with her afterwards.
Cal football oughta follow that example with their ex.
