Cal lands commitment from running back Jaxsen Stokes, switching from Oklahoma
The California Golden Bears have another major commitment for the 2027 class.
Another commitment for the California Golden Bears comes via a flip from a playoff contender, as Jaxsen Stokes changed his January commitment to Oklahoma to an April commitment to the Golden Bears.
Cal continues to land commitments from future ball-carriers, as they now have two running backs in the 2027 class within the same month. At Sierra Canyon at Chatsworth last year, Stokes put up 722 yards and 12 touchdowns on 6.6 yards per rush, as well as 12 catches for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
His junior Hudl highlight tape is here. You can see some of his burst and elusiveness in the open field below.
Stokes is ranked the 50th-best running back by 247Sports Composite, and the 56th-best prospect in California in the 2027 class.
Stokes joins AJ Sanders III as the second backfield commit this month. Welcome Jaxsen to Cal!
