Cal Football releases Spring Football Roster

New Names. New Numbers. New Offense.

With the announcement of Spring Ball starting around the corner, Cal Football also announced the roster that will be participating in Spring. Added to the roster are the likes of Sam Jackson V, Byron Cardwell, Justin Williams-Thomas, Brian Hightower, Sergio Allen among others.

Some stats and measurable update from our eagle eyed staff at Write for California:

• Biggest weight gains: Ieremia Ieremia & Kenden Robinson Jr.

• Biggest weight loss: Grant Daley, Tyler Jensen, DeShaun Harris

• 94 players on the roster for Spring down from 112 last Spring

• Players not on the roster: OL Colin Moroney, OL Ryan Lange, DB Evan McLurkin

• Stanley McKenzie has returned to the roster after taking some personal time.

• Our very own Piotr Le crunched the numbers and here is the position by position total along with average weight.

• We also did a quick breakdown of the years in CFB and position for the 2023 Spring Camp. There is a lot of worry about lack of young in ILB and a big bulge of WRs about to age out of CFB. DB and DL look healthy:
