With this loss Winless Wilcox is now:

43-50 overall

1-3 in bowl games

Yet, somehow he has earned the right to come back and coach for a 9th consecutive season.

I don’t fault Mendoza for transferring out and I wouldn’t fault Harris for doing the same. Sure competition is good when you have legitimate players that create competition but Wilcox just likes to have competition for the sake of competition, even when it isn’t necessary.

Expand full comment
Rugbear's avatar

You have to look at players and see how they play games and you gotta give them game experience. This game is meaningless for our season. Every game will mean something next year. Better to give kids game experience now and lose now the next year.

Expand full comment
Calbears93's avatar

That makes no sense.

Expand full comment
GoldenSD81's avatar

What makes no sense is Wilcox constantly creating unnecessary QB competition and switching out QBs in season and during games when the starting QB isn’t hurt. He did it with Garbers, he did it with Mendoza, he did it tonight with Harris.
