Atif Saeed got out of his jeep to take a few photos of a lion in a Lohore safari zoo park. The lens’ sound attracted his attention. “I was thinking – I must show the character and status of the lion and this was the only way I could think of to achieve this,” Saeed said. The lion approached within 10 feet before it jumped at the photographer and Saeed scrambled back into his jeep.
“I was sitting in front of him just near my car, and the door of my car was open. I sat on the ground a few feet away, so he was treating me like his prey… I was laughing at that time, but now when I think back about the lion attack, I don’t think I would be able to do it again. It was a pretty close encounter.”
NZ Jacinda Ardern pledges to resign within the new few weeks. "I’m leaving, because with such a privileged role comes responsibility,” she said. “The responsibility to know when you are the right person to lead and also when you are not. I know what this job takes. And I know that I no longer have enough in the tank to do it justice. It’s that simple.”
If that is the actual picture of the lion, it is a young male (as the mane clearly displays). Young males are often solitary or perhaps joined by a litter mate brother or 2. They are extremely dangerous, low probability hunters (mostly stealing / feeding on carcass) & opportunistic.
While a great photo this gentleman is lucky to be not severely injured much less alive.

Yesterday I couldn't write anything on W4C. Today I can't make an entry on the poll.
That picture is rather scary.
