Cal Football: Houston transfer OL Trevonte Sylvester decommits from the Bears

Recently, Cal had received a commitment from University of Houston offensive lineman Trevonte Sylvester. It was seen as a big recruiting win but things have clearly changed and not for the better. This morning he reopened his recruitment, something no Bears fan wanted to see. There is some speculation in regards to his decommitment reason but I’m not going to go into that as that is his story to tell.
We wish Trevonte the best in his future.

Losing any OL commit sucks because we know it's our biggest weakness but he seemed more like a project to me than an immediate contributor. I dunno, something seemed off that triggered my skepticism and was hoping to hear some details from the coaches.
I do think we could have been a better team with him but I'm not losing sleep over this. Hopefully we still have other promising options.
