Norfolk State PG & MEAC Player of Year Jamarii Thomas could be visiting Cal
Thomas seems to be planning trips to at least three schools.
Arizona State transfer Frankie Collins isn’t the only point guard that Cal has eyes on to run their offense next season. Also being targeted is Norfolk State point Jamarii Thomas, according to Jamie Shaw of ON3 Sports ($). Thomas seems to be pondering a visit to Berkeley in the near future.
Thomas was the MEAC Player of the Year. He averaged 17.5 points and 3.8 assists per game during the regular season, shooting 81.3 percent from the charity stripe. Like Collins, he also showcased strong defensive prowess, averaging two steals a game. Mark Madsen seems to be emphasizing defensive-oriented point guards who can run the offense in his early recruitment..
The other two programs (Iowa and George Mason) being circulated for visits are definitely in need of point guard help, so it should be a pretty competitive recruitment.

Would be an awesome get. We haven't had a PG who could reliably get into the paint and make things happen since Paris Austin.
