Andrej Stojaković is a California Golden Bear
Stojakovic picks Cal over North Carolina and Kentucky.
Mark Madsen has landed their biggest transfer portal commitment of the 2024 recruiting class. Andrej Stojaković is coming to Cal.
A top-25 recruit and McDonald’s All-American in the 2023 recruiting class from Jesuit High in Sacramento, Stojakovic had a solid freshman season at Stanford, averaging 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds a game. After the firing of Jerod Haase, Stojakovic put himself in the transfer portal and liked what he saw across the Bay. The talent is all there to be developed.
Stojakovic picked Cal over Kentucky and North Carolina, and it seemed his visit to Cal last week sealed the deal. He had an official visit to Kentucky this weekend planned but decided not to go, and is ready to get his future started with the California Golden Bears.
Cal now has filled in all but three of their scholarship spots, and have a team lined up with numerous players with multiple years of eligibility left. In just a year, Madsen has rebuilt Cal men’s basketball, and has a rising talent in Stojaković as a centerpiece. What a turnaround.
Fantastic!! Can't wait til we play furd next season.
I’m glad to see that recruits seem view Madsen the same way we on this blog have come to view him.
On court results will make the ultimate difference, but boy am I glad we have him a quick extension.
