Cal Transfer Portal New Entries: DB Cam Sidney, DL Nate Burrell, RB Brandon High
A lot of new turnover for the California Golden Bears.
More transfer portal news to start the New Year.
Cal will have some work to rebuild their defense, as defensive back Cam Sidney has put his name in the transfer portal. Sidney had 47 tackles, 3 pass breakups, an interception, and five tackles for loss last season.
Defensive lineman Nate Burrell was slated to be one of the key defensive lineman this season before injuries took him out. He will test his worth in the transfer portal.
Brandon High was slated to actually be one of the top two running backs this season with Kendrick Raphael, but injuries ended his season early and he will look for a fresh start elsewhere. High rushed for 98 yards on 23 carries.
Other transfers that have occurred so far include:
As stated before, treat the transfer portal like free agency. There is a chance some Cal players do return. But expect a whole new look in the Tosh Lupoi era.

I don't care when incoming transfers transfer again. They are journeymen. But it hurts a bit more when our HS recruits who became starters transfer, like Cam Sidney.
Just watched Indiana manhandle Alabama. Indiana has a group of top tear players (in addition to Mendoza) all brought in via the portal & NIL in the last two years. Hopefully Tosh will be able to do the same at Cal.
