Cal cornerback Marcus Harris drafted by Tennessee Titans
Three Cal defensive backs have been taken in this year's draft.
The California Golden Bears are back to putting their football players in the pros. With the 183rd pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, cornerback Marcus Harris is off to the Tennessee Titans.
Harris transferred from Idaho last year and showed off enough in camp to win the second starting cornerback job. Harris finished seventh on the team with 46 tackles, third with six pass deflections, and also racked up two interceptions and a forced fumble. Helping lock down the other side ensured Cal had an above average defense in 2024.
Cal has now seen four Golden Bears drafted this year, which is the most since 2016 and equals the amount of Cal Bears drafted in the previous three seasons. Harris joins Nohl Williams (Chiefs), Craig Woodson (Patriots) and Teddye Buchanan (Ravens) in fulfilling their pro dreams. Harris is the third transfer player (along with Buchanan and Williams) to make the league for Cal this year, as the transfer portal proved critical in uplifting a beleaguered Golden Bear defense.
Congrats on making the pros Marcus! See you on Sundays!
Great news, congratulations Marcus Harris!
Four Bears drafted. Only three from USC, and only one from furd.
