Cal football lands a commitment from TE/WR Meyer Swinney
The brother of Cal offensive lineman Bastian Swinney is excited to head to Berkeley.
Cal landed their sixth commitment of the 2024 recruiting class when Meyer Swinney out of Edina, Minnesota opted to join his sibling Bastian in the Cal football program. Meyer made a visit to Berkeley this weekend and decided that the Golden Bears was the place to be.
At 6-3, 210, Swinney has the body that will likely be growing into an inside slot receiver.
Swinney is ranked as the 54th best athlete by 247Sports Composite and the third best prospect from the state of Minnesota iin the 2025 recruiting class. He held a very solid offer list from Kansas, Kansas State, Duke, Iowa State, Miami, Ole Miss, Purdue, Texas A&M. His junior table is available on Hudl.
Swinney joins running backs Carter Jackson and Jojo Solis, quarterback Robert McDaniel, defensive back Kaden Cook, and linebacker Carter Jones as 2025 commits.
