Cal kicker Ryan Coe signs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
A bunch of Bears will get a few NFL chances.
The California Golden Bears had a pretty good NFL Draft weekend. Cal defenders Nohl Williams, Craig Woodson, Teddye Buchanan, and Marcus Harris all were selected, and Xavier Carlton was an undrafted free agent.
Another undrafted free agent signing was Cal kicker Ryan Coe, who was picked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Coe made 14 of 22 field goals with Cal in his senior season, and 16 of 16 extra points, averaging 64 yards per kickoff and putting up a 71% touchback rate. Despite some struggles on mid-range kicks, he definitely showed the range to consistently hit long kicks, making four kicks beyond 50 yards and four of five kicks in the 40 to 49 yard range. Coe definitely has the potential to have the NFL leg as a full kicker.
Best of luck to Ryan on his path to the pros. Hopefully see you on Sundays!
Good luck Ryan. I'll look for you on TV next season
😂😂😂 U rlly cant make up Cal's luck. This guy was nothing but flawless for 3 years as a kicker before Cal and clearly killed in his NFL workouts.
