Cal football lands the commitment of 2025 athlete Jae'on Young
The California Golden Bears got three visitors to commit from one weekend in Berkeley together!
What a weekend the California Golden Bears had on the defensive recruiting trail. Three commits, all at critical positions of need for the defense! What a trip that must have been.
The latest and most heralded commitment is athlete Jae’on Young.
The Chatsworth (Ca.) Sierra Canyon athlete took a visit to Berkeley along with two other recent commits (linebacker Beckham Barney, edge LeBron Williams) and decided it was his time to pledge to the Bears.
Young held offers from USC, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Texas A&M, Arizona, Washington State, Kansas, BYU and Boston College. Young is ranked as the 50th best athlete by the 247Sports Composite rankings, and the 49th best California prospect. Here are his Hudl highlights.
Cal is up to nine commitments in the 2025 recruiting class, with verbals also from running back Jojo Solis, running back Anthony League, linebacker Carter Jones, cornerback Kaden Cook, tight end/wide receiver Meyer Swinney, offensive lineman Ben Howard, defensive lineman Ike Okafor and linebacker Ke'Breion Winston.
Welcome to Cal Jae’on. Go Bears!
That’s quite the offer list! Welcome to Cal!!!!
It seems like this guy is a three star athlete. However, he's one of the fastest corners in the West and that's going to be need battling in the ACC with teams like Florida, Clemson. and Florida state. He is A top 50 prospect. and This is only the beginning.
