Cal Football Transfer: Cooper Perry, Wide Receiver From Oregon
The California Golden Bears have upgraded their receiving game to ensure Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele has as many weapons as he needs.
Tosh Lupoi showed up at Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele’s home in Hawaii on his first day on the job as Cal head coach, and resecured his commitment for the coming season. He’s made sure that Sagapolutele would all the weapons he’d need to succeed in 2026, landing another major skill contributor from his former stop in Oregon in wide receiver Cooper Perry.
Hailing from Notre Dame Prep in Scottsdale, Perry was a consensus top-20 wide receiver and the 2nd best prospect in Arizona in 2025. The Copper State standout was an instant contributor at Oregon in his true freshman campaign, grabbing 10 catches for 25 yards as he handled a lot of short pass duty. Perry joins Ian Strong and Chase Hendricks as the wideouts who will hopefully lift Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele to the next level.
Perry becomes the second Oregon Duck to join, and there is buzz around defensive tackle Jericho Johnson considering the Bears as well. There are many more Ducks in the portal—will anyone else be turning their eyes southward to Berkeley?
Welcome Cooper!
