Cal Football Transfer: Daniel Harris, Cornerback Via Georgia
The California Golden Bears need new cornerbacks, and they got a huge addition today from the SEC.
Cal needed transfer cornerbacks with the departure of Hezekiah Masses and Brett ‘Paco’ Austin, and they have a huge SEC talent inbound. Former Georgia Bulldogs corner Daniel Harris is on his way to Berkeley.
Harris is the 15th-ranked transfer cornerback by On3, and the 13th-best by 247Sports. Harris had 22 tackles and 3 pass deflections in the 2024 playoff season for Georgia. He played less in 2025 after reportedly dealing with injury, notching 138 snaps in 5 games.
One blemish on Harris’s resume was that he was arrested in a reckless driving incident at Georgia, but he remained a team contributor after that incident. Here’s hoping he’s learned from the incident, and Harris’s focus will be on getting to the next level under new cornerbacks coach Da’Von Brown in his one season in Berkeley.

Great. I was worried about CB depth so this is a nice addition.
