Cal has landed a commitment from Colorado State QB transfer Jackson Brousseau, a source tells me and @chris_hummer. Closed the season as CSU’s starting QB. Threw for 323 yards and two TDs vs. Air Force in the team’s final game.

Brousseau threw 9 touchdowns and three interceptions last year on 201 attempts, with a completion rate of 63.9%, 1359 yards for 6.7 yards per attempt, and a passer rating of 132. He dealt with significant issues from the pass rush (Colorado State allowed 32 sacks last year, same as Cal) and was injured toward the end of the year, forcing Darius Curry into action. But he will serve as a perfect experienced quarterback in the room to replace Devin Brown (who transferred to Weber State).
