Cal Football Offensive Tackle Frederick Williams Is Returning
Cal should have a pretty competitive battle at offensive line next season.
The California Golden Bears will have at least several rotational offensive linemen among them next season. One of them is Frederick Williams. Wiliams started seven games at left tackle last season and saw reserve duty in several other games, logging 472 snaps.
Williams joins a returning starting cohort of Bastian Swinney, Frederick Williams and Sioape Vatikani. Cal’s transfer portal class of Jimothy Lewis (via Mississippi State), Mykeal Rabess (via Florida International), Kahli Tafai (via Minnesota), Ashton Rivera (via Kent State), Jacob Arop will also be competing for playing time. Cal is welcoming an offensive line freshman recruiting class that includes Daniel McMorris, Esaiah Wong, Kamo’i Huihui-White, Elisha Faamatuainu, and Roger Vanderhoef and will have plenty of young and upcomers ready to compete, like true/redshirt freshmen and sophomores Michael Kliesiewicz, Ben Howard, Justin Hasenhuetl, and Aiden Newbill.
There should be a pretty extensive battle for the starting five to project Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.

As we've learned multiple times, too much is never enough when it comes to OL talent.
So I count 18 players in the mix...does anyone know if this is what we usually have in terms of raw numbers? Sounds like a lot (a good thing) but I have nothing to compare it to. In any case, I choose to believe it is wonderful!
